Same great program as above, with First Aid added to the curriculum. You will learn to manage medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and environmental crises until professional help takes over. According to the CDC, traumatic injury is one of the leading causes of death for people under 50 years of age in the United States, many of those deaths are caused by severe bleeding, the most treatable cause of death due to trauma.
This program uses a step-by-step procedure and skill guide to support the assessment, prioritization, and control of life-threatening bleeding, based on scientific evidence, national guidelines, and expert consensus.
This is a non-certification, fast-paced, interactive training that focuses exclusively on Hands-Only CPR, an easy-to-learn, highly effective technique recommended by the American Heart Association for bystanders. By omitting mouth-to-mouth rescue breaths, this method removes the common barriers to taking action, giving you the confidence to step up in an emergency.
