This program uses step-by-step procedure and skill guides. It is based on scientific evidence, national guidelines, and expert consensus.
AED's aren't always available when you're outdoors or on an adventure with your family. Learn how to perform hands-only CPR under stress. This class is NOT for certification.
This class focuses exclusively on Hands-Only CPR, an easy-to-learn, highly effective technique recommended by the American Heart Association for bystanders. By omitting mouth-to-mouth rescue breaths, this method removes the common barriers to taking action, giving you the confidence to step up in an emergency.
You will learn to manage medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and environmental crises until professional help takes over. You will learn how to recognize and respond to medical emergencies, such as signs of a heart attack, stroke, shock, allergic reactions (EpiPen use), seizures, and diabetic emergencies; control severe bleeding; use a tourniquet; treat burns; and stabilize broken bones or sprains.
